Dumb and dumber: 2014

Richard Butrick

According to President  Obama's consigliore, Valerie Jarrett, Obama has, "been bored to death his whole life. He's just too talented to do what ordinary people do.." In what could be called the official MSM take on the Choom Gang graduate and Commander-in-Chief, Jarrett gushes on that:

I think Barack knew that he had God-given talents that were extraordinary. He knows exactly how smart he is. ... He knows how perceptive he is. He knows what a good reader of people he is. And he knows that he has the ability -- the extraordinary, uncanny ability -- to take a thousand different perspectives, digest them and make sense out of them, and I think that he has never really been challenged intellectually.

When American Thinker and PJMedia  author, Kyle-Anne Shriver, took on this view in 2010 and claimed that dumb-is-as-dumb-does, it was a pretty daring move.

She claimed that if Obama were really smart he wouldn't have

(1) filled his cabinet with Clinton retreads, tax cheats, polarizing ideologues, and unfit-for-the-real-world academics.

(2) order[ed] up gala parties with imported Wagu beef at $100 per pound, while he was speaking out the other side of his mouth about the disgusting nature of executive retreats to Las Vegas. A smart man would have known the people would see him as a hypocrite.

(3) spent more time in front of a camera's glow than he spent at his desk. He would have rolled up his sleeves and gotten down to the hard work of governing instead of hamming it up in public 24/7, which any truly smart person knows is not only bound to get old very fast, but also sends out the message loud and clear that no one is actually acting as president.

She also in saw in 2010 that our new President had, shall we say, no compunction about lying.

From his whoppers about small things on the campaign trail (his uncle helped liberate Auschwitz; his parents married because of Selma; his father got a scholarship to America from the Kennedy's) to his lies about very big things (his health care plan will reduce employer insurance premiums by 3000 percent, or $3,000 -- still a lie), this president is now only allowed in polite company because he is the president. In any real-world company, inveterate liars are shunned as utterly untrustworthy, unreliable, unwelcome guests. (Unless their last name is "Clinton," we shouldn't forget.)

Shriver tagged the "Affordable" Healthcare Act back in 2010!

Think of the fodder Shriver has now. The prevarication continues from the Benghazi lies to the "keep your plan." lie of the year, The bungling continues from the "red lines," that turn pink and then vanish, to the support of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. The wealth of material is jaw dropping.

A Kyle-Anne Shriver 2014 I-told-you-so update would be a delightful read. It would also no doubt be hilarious were it not for the fact that the prevaricating, self-consumed bungler-in-chief will be President for two more years.
